My Review:
Abbi Glines' "Sweet Little Thing" was my first book by the author, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I was a little nervous before picking it up, not knowing what to expect, but I quickly found myself immersed in the story.
One of the things that really stood out to me was how easy and light of a read it was. The plot wasn't overly complex, but it was engaging enough to hold my attention throughout the book. I found myself invested in the characters and their story, eagerly turning the pages to see what would happen next.
Speaking of the characters, I absolutely adored Beulah and Jasper. Beulah was a relatable and likable protagonist, and I found myself rooting for her from the very beginning. Jasper, on the other hand, started out as an arrogant and spoiled son of a billionaire, but as the story progressed, I found myself warming up to him and eventually falling in love with his character as well. The dynamic between the two of them was fascinating to read, as they were like two sides of the same coin. Beulah was sweet and selfless, while Jasper was selfish and arrogant, but somehow they found their way to each other.
I have to agree with the previous reviewers that the ending was a major shocker. I was completely caught off guard and left wanting more. The cliffhanger was a bold move by the author, and while it left me with a sense of anticipation for the next book, it also left me feeling a bit frustrated. I had become so invested in the story and characters, and I felt like I was left hanging.
Despite the cliffhanger, I would still highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick and easy read. It's the perfect book to pick up if you're in a reading slump and need something to get you back in the groove. The pacing is quick, and some readers may even finish it in one day. I, personally, took three days to finish it as I am a slow reader, but I still found it to be a captivating and enjoyable read.
